LinkExchange Member ![]() Ala Zahr Ali's story starts 5 years ago, when we went to go ride my mothers horse Deli ( You can read her story by clicking on her name in the story). After riding Deli we looked at a 6 year old bay arabian gelding who was in the pasture with her. My father offered to buy him from the people. The woman told him that Ali was her husband's horse and she didn't think he would want to sell him. So we left it at that. The next week end we went to pick Deli up and the woman said she would sell the gelding but she wanted more than we were willing to pay, considering we weren't really in the market for another horse at the time. But my dad being my dad and looking for a good deal gave it a shot and made the woman an offer, and left telling her if she wanted to get rid of him to give us a call.At this point we were pasturing 5 horses my old palomino gelding Goldie, Brittney an older mare I had owned for a few years, my dads paint Skipper, Buddy an appy gelding we had bought over the winter, who was now so barn sour you couldn't ride him. and my mothers new horse Deli. About a month later on my birthday my Palomino gelding Goldie died. The appy we sent off to the auction knowing that he could never be sold privately because of his behavior. Leaving us with 3 horses.A month after that my father received a phone call from the woman who owned the gelding, "If you want him come pick him up". So off we went to ride the bay arabian gelding (Ala Zahr). After talking to the woman we found out that she had gotten Ali from North Dakota at a farm called MYBONN ARABIANS owned by a woman named Bonnie Rupp. His father was a black arabian by the name of Ala Charm. They had bought him to use as a stud, then decided to geld him because he had started to become nasty. We bought him. |
